Antonio L. García-Ramírez is a Shareholder in the Labor and Employment Division of Fiddler, González & Rodríguez, P.S.C. Mr. García is also a member of Fiddler's Board of Directors.
Mr. García practices in the areas of employment law and litigation, discrimination and sexual harassment claims, wrongful termination and equal opportunity, wage and hour claims, labor management arbitration. He is an experienced litigator defending against labor and employment related claims, including: Title VII, sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation and wrongful discharge.
He attended college as a William H. Gray Scholar. While attending law school, he served as member of the University of Puerto Rico Law Review.
Mr. García successfully defended a public corporation from a consolidated suit filed by thirty four plaintiff-employees who claimed they were missclassified as exempt employees and were owed overtime compensation and meal penalty-pay. The total exposure for the claims was approximately $4,300,000.00. After a bench trial of several weeks, two different trial courts entered judgment dismissing all claims.
