Arturo Bauermeister-Baldrich is Special Counsel in the Labor and Employment Division of Fiddler, González & Rodríguez, P.S.C.
Mr. Bauermeister´s practice focuses on Employee Benefits Law, ERISA and other related pension and benefits employment matters.
His primary focus is in an advisory capacity regarding employee benefit plans. Mr. Bauermeister lectures extensively to fellow attorneys, corporations and companies invested in Puerto Rico regarding federal and local pension and benefit plans, particularly with respect to: reduction in force issues, pension and group health plans and how establishing and administering ERISA impacts employee benefit plans in Puerto Rico.
Of the many cases Mr. Bauermeister has litigated, the following published opinions are representative of his success in his practice areas, such as PRTC v. Sistema de Retiro de Los Empleados del Gobierno y la Judicatura, 2009 WL 2366706; Pérez Rivera v. Cornell Univ. and Life Ins. Co., 297 F.Supp.2d 412 (D.PR 2003); Bordallo v. Banco Bilbao Vizcaya de P.R., 952 F.Supp. 72 (D.PR 1997); Rodriguez Abreu v. Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., 986 F.2d 580 (1993); Vega v. Kodak Caribbean, Ltd., 807 F.Supp. 872 (D.PR 1992); Laracuente v. Chase Manhattan Bank, 891 F.2d 17 (1st Cir. 1989).
