Carlos A. Padilla-Vélez is a Shareholder in the Labor and Employment Division of Fiddler, González & Rodríguez, P.S.C. Mr. Padilla is also member of Fiddler's Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
Mr. Padilla practices in the area of labor and employment litigation. Mr. Padilla’s litigation practice includes labor arbitration, administrative forums, Puerto Rico trial courts and appellate practice.
From 1995 to 1997, Mr. Padilla served as a clerk to the Honorable José A. Andréu Garcia, former Chief Justice of the Puerto Rico Supreme Court, and to the Honorable Antonio S. Negrón García, former Associate Justice.
Of the many cases Mr. Padilla has litigated, the following published opinions are representative of his success in his practice area: HIETEL v. PRTC, 182 D.P.R. 451(2011) (labor arbitration); Umpierre Biascoechea v. Banco Popular, 170 D.P.R. 205 (2007) (statute of limitations); Vega v. Yiyi Motors, Inc., 146 D.P.R. 373, (1998) (wage & hour).
