This event will present a unique opportunity to learn about the status of the Puerto Rico energy reform bills, the challenges to achieve a reduction in the price of power, and the different projects to increase the use of natural gas in the Caribbean.
The event will bring together executives from companies in the energy industry, including the renewable and liquid natural gas industries, energy/fuel end users, equipment manufacturers, policy makers and utilities. This will be an important forum for those currently conducting business or interested in building energy infrastructure projects in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. The May 15 Conference will include speakers such as the President of the Senate, Sen. Eduardo Bhatia; the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority Executive Director, Eng. Juan Alicea; Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority CEO, Mr. Hugo Hodge, among other executives and public policy stakeholders.
The Conference will include a panel discussion on the International Maritime Organization approval of an Emissions Control Area for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the resulting challenges to the maritime and cruise industries.
